I just took more than a few Ikea bags full of printed, ruffled things to Goodwill recently. I figured if Solange could leave prints behind, I could too. I mean... a ruffled leopard/geometric print mix mini skirt? Sample sale regret. This spring I'm starting fresh with solid basic one pieces in linen, silk, and chambray like these two from Ilana Kohn and 7115 by Szeki.
I might be over optimistic about keeping pale leather like these blush and mint styles clean during a New York summer but I'm going to give it a go. I love that this bucket bag from Mum & Co. can be carried like cross-body bag for an easy morning commute. This salmon skin belt is just right for synching summery dresses. The mint Loeffler Randall flats (on sale!) have a bit of print mixed in and these Sandgren clogs are available in a ton of colors and heights. I haven't work clogs in a few years but I'm been searching for closed-toe options for when the city just feels too dirty to walk around in strappy sandals (looking at you August).
Graphic gold feels like an update to whisper-thin layered pieces and makes a statement even if you're just rocking one great piece which is about all I can manage when the temperature starts to soar in June. This Maiyet cuff and Herkimer diamond studs fit the graphic gold bill. Etsy has tons of similar studs here.
